With Summer coming to an end and the school year creeping up, it seems the perfect time to let you know that the Educational/Institutional copy of Indie Game: The Movie is now available for schools, universities, libraries and other cultural institutions.
This film should be a great fit for many games program, computer science and arts curriculum. We’ve had many people tell us that they are eager to use the film to not only communicate what goes into making a videogame, but to also touch on the ideas of chasing one’s dreams, sacrifice and creating in this new digital age.
The film is already being used in an educational capacity around the world. For example, here is a great teacher’s resource guide put together by Andrew McLaughin for Dundee Contemporary Arts Discovery Film Festival (click here)
What Included: The educational copy of IGTM allows schools and other institutions to screen and use the film for educational and other cultural purposes. It includes a physical copy (DVD or Blu-Ray) and a public, not-for-profit screening license.
Get IGTM in Your School or Program: If you’d like to include IGTM in your curriculum or library, you can directly purchase an educational copy here. Or if you know of a program that would benefit from using IGTM, direct them to the store or have them contact us at indiegamethemovie(at)gmail.com
