    IGTM Wins At Sundance!

Sooo, last night was kinda the best night ever...

Indie Game: The Movie won Best Editing within the Sundance World Cinema Documentary Competition.  We can not tell you how much this means to us and how completely and utterly our minds are blown.  We shot over 300 hours of footage in making this film, and the edit was, by far, the most difficult aspect of the process. We couldn’t be more proud to receive this award.

When we started this project, we had no idea it would evolve and progress to the point of taking us up on stage at the Sundance Film Festival....it’s crazy....it really is.

The two people pictured above were clearly having an out-of-body experience behind that podium.  It was a blur, a fantastic blur.  But lost in crazed haze were a few people we forgot to thank.

We would not be anywhere close to this point in our lives if it wasn’t for our amazing parents:  Remi, Debra, Betty and Ed. We can’t believe we forgot them...and it’s something I’m sure we’ll be hearing about for the next little while :)

And of course, thank you so much to the Sundance Film Festival.  The festival’s belief in this little film has very much changed our lives.  It’s been amazing, hugely educational and most importantly, endlessly inspiring. Specifically, we need to thank David Courier for his support and Shane Smith for his invaluable early encouragement.

Thank you again to everyone who supported the film - be it by preorder, tweet, blog, word of mouth and/or good vibes.  You made this honor possible.

    Talk to you soon,

    James & Lisanne.

CONGRATULATIONS on Sundance!! Looking forward to seeing your film when it comes to NYC. Dawn Valadez & I were on the 2010 WestDoc Pitch competition with you guys the year you won. We were pitching my doc about strippers (License to Pimp). Very impressed that you guys went the DIY route & produced an awesome film that's hitting the film festival circuit!

You always shot for the stars and now you are there. You both are a great inspiration for what one can do when you combine a dream with hard work and talent. I look forward to enjoying your great movie. Bravo.

Hey guys, we've all been following you since your just a twinkle in Kickstarter's eye and are so happy to see how this has all unfolded. It truly is amazing, not only because you got it crowdfunded, caught the right subjects at the right time, and actually made the damned thing, but also you actually proved a Kickstarted film can win at fricken Sundance - the film market outside of Toronto and Cannes in the world.

We are with you all the way, kudos and again, warmest congratulations.

Congratulations guys! That is a huge accomplishment, and I would be gleaming with prideful joy if I were you now.

However, instead I am met with both a killer curiosity and excitement for seeing what this film will have to offer which I am positive will be an absolutely wonderful, thoughtful, and inspirational experience.

Cheers for the both of you!
