New Screening: Santa Cruz, March 2nd

A new preview screening has been added!

    Santa Cruz, CA

     The Rio Theater, 7:00pm March 2nd, 2012

Team Meat & the Directors will be in attendance for a Q&A.

Get your tickets here or in the widget below!

We are very excited for this early sneak peek screening.  Firstly, it’s Edmund’s birthday on March 2nd - so that’s super cool :)

But, also, Santa Cruz has carved out a pretty lovely place in our hearts.  It’s the very first place we shot during the production of the film, and to be able to share the film with the town, Edmund & Danielle, and their families is something we’re really looking forward to.

It’s going to be a great time.  Edmund, Tommy, James & Lisanne will be there for some Q & A fun.

So, get your ticket now.  This may very well sell out, so tickets may not be available at the the door.

    Hope to see you there!

    -James & Lisanne

Does this mean you aren't planning on releasing the film before May?

I live in Washington DC, If I flew over for the screening, is there any advice for getting from SFO to santa cruz?

    Hey Dave!

I would hold off making any special trips for the screening...unless you're going to be in the area for GDC anyways. There is a very very good chance we'll have a screening closer to you in the near future.

So, at the very high risk of sounding presumptuous: Don't travel cross country just for our film, we'll be showing closer to you soon.

As for SF -> SC, I'm not too sure of the options. Sorry I don't have any good travel info.

Going from San Francisco to Santa Cruz will involve BART (http://www.bart.gov/ ) from SF airport to Millbrae. From there, you'll take a Caltrain (http://www.caltrain.com/ ) to San Jose, and a Hwy 17 Express (http://www.scmtd.com/routes/schedules/systemschedule/17 ) bus to Santa Cruz. From there, you can take a 71, 69, or 69W which stop roughly in front of the Rio. Happy traveling.

Got my ticket and I'm hoping to bring some friends out too!

I've been excited about this film since I first discovered and joined the Kickstarter, finally seeing it & getting to hang out with Team Meat afterwards is going to be really special. Thanks for adding a Santa Cruz screening back after the last one was canceled!

Sebastian is correct about the public transit route, the trip will probably take about 2 hours or more. You just would need to be careful since the Hwy 17 Express & Caltrain stop running in the evening. It might be easier if you book a hotel in Santa Cruz and stay the night there. Or, do what James suggested and just wait for a closer screening. :)
