    We're on (Internet) TV!

    Hey All,

Another fun thing that happened when we were filming in SF:  The good fine folks at Bytejacker invited us to their studio to talk IGTM!

You can watch the episode right here.

If you haven't heard of Bytejacker and you're interested in indie games, we couldn't recommend the show more.  It's fun, informed, really well put together and exceptionally funny ... like actually funny.  It's a great way to learn about indie titles.  They have a lot of shows under their belt, so do yourself a favour and work through the back catalogue.

I particularly enjoyed this episode: 10 toughest Baby Punchers Ever.  I forgot how soul crushing the original NES TMNT was.  (Poor 11-year-old James couldn't understand why he was so frustrated...memories)

Huge thanks to Anthony and the Revision 3 crew for having us on!

    World of Goo Goes iPad

One of our many interviews last SF trip was with Ron Carmel. Ron, when combined with Kyle Gabler, makes up 2D BOY - the creators of World of Goo . In our interview, we talked about a lot of things, but one exciting and timely tidbit he shared with us is that World of Goo is coming to the iPad!

The official launch date for WOG iPad is December 16th.

The 2D BOY Boys are awesome and have been a huge help with/supporter of the film, so we thought we d put together a little piece with Ron talking about the iPad version.

Yeah, yeah, this piece is essentially a short little commercial for the new game. But, Ron and Kyle are super nice guys, we had the footage, and it s cool to get a little sneak peak at the game, so there we go...

...But, if you do have an iPad, get the game - it's good :)

Find out everything about the guys, the game and all the iPad details over at www.2dBoy.com.

    TIGJam Round-Up

In October, we were doing some filming at TIGJam - San Francisco.  This is our second TIGJam while filming, we also filmed at TIGJam - Winnipeg (aka PEGJam) earlier in the year.  Here's a look at that video, again.

The concept behind a ‘Game Jam’ is quite simple.  Basically, get talented, like-minded people together put them in a room for a weekend and let them create.  Ideas are exchanged, thoughts pollinate the air and contacts are made. And every so often, by the end of the weekend, brilliant things may emerge in partial or fully formed execution.

But alas, productivity is kind of besides the point, the vibe of most jams seem to revolve around meeting new people, learning new things and getting a heavy dose of inspiration.  It’s a beautiful thing really - something that every industry should try implementing in some fashion.
So, we were there for 2 days and did a lot of filming.

At the end of each day, a few TIGJammers are asked to give a small, COMPLETELY IMPROMPTU talk about ‘What’s on their mind’. We had our cameras handy, and knew that not everyone who wanted to be there could make it, so we thought we’d record the talks and put them up - rough and uncut...relatively uncut :)

    The TIGJam Talks Uncut include;
    Scott Anderson
    Matthew Wegner
    Marc ten Bosch
    Brendan Mauro
    Timonthy Fitz
    Derek Yu & Andy Hull

And, here's some behind the scenes shots of us filming at TIGJam SF, taken by the multi-talented, Matthew Wegner (founder of Flashbang Studios, and organizer of the Independant Games Festival).
